It was my distinct pleasure to have inaugurated REX 5.0 (Robotics Experience Program) organized by the IEEE Student Branch at RIT.

As Vice Chairperson of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Kerala Chapter, I had the privilege of addressing the future innovators about a cause close to my heart: Assistive Technology and Social Inclusion.

Here are some key points I shared in my talk:

🌟 Assistive technology is about empowering individuals, fostering independence, and ensuring no one is left behind in our rapidly advancing digital world.

🦾 Robotics can revolutionize lives by creating bridges where gaps exist. From advanced wheelchair systems to robotic exoskeletons - these innovations are about renewing autonomy and regaining dignity for people with disabilities.

💡 Inclusive design drives universal innovation. Many of our current everyday tech from voice commands to automated doors and predictive text were originally developed as assistive tech.

🔧 The democratization of assistive technology through advances in robotics manufacturing and 3D printing means these life-changing solutions can reach more people who need them, regardless of economic barriers.

It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm among students who will shape tomorrow's inclusive technological landscape. Their innovative thinking and commitment to humanitarian engineering is what we need to move toward to a future where technology truly serves everyone, regardless of their abilities.

Kudos to the IEEE Student Branch RIT for organizing this impactful event. Looking forward to seeing the transformative solutions that will emerge from this platform. ✨
